Plain English, like everything else we do. This explains what information Mooseworks holds, why, and what your rights are. Last updated: 12 June 2026.
Who we are
Mooseworks is Callum Siciliano, trading as Mooseworks, based in the Midlands, UK. We design, build and look after websites and business email for small businesses. For anything on this page: hello@mooseworks.uk.
What we collect, and why
If you enquire or request a quote — your name, business name, contact details and what you tell us about your project. We use it to reply, prepare your quote or proposal, and follow up. Lawful basis: taking steps before a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
If you become a client — the above, plus what we need to deliver the work: content for your site, domain details, billing information. Lawful basis: our contract with you. Payments are collected by GoCardless (bank payments and Direct Debit); we never see or store your bank login. Card numbers don't exist in our world at all.
If we've researched your business for outreach — we keep a small amount of publicly available business information (business name, role, business contact details, your current website) sourced from places like Companies House, Google and your own site. We use it to send relevant, low-volume introductions to businesses we think we can genuinely help. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in finding customers. Every message includes who we are and a working opt-out — say the word and you're removed, permanently.
If you just visit this site — almost nothing. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and shows us aggregate numbers (pages viewed, country, device type). It can't identify you and we wouldn't want it to. Our host (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses transiently to serve the site and block abuse, like every host does.
Cookies
We don't set tracking or advertising cookies. That's why there's no cookie banner. Any cookie you might see is strictly functional, set by our infrastructure to keep the site secure.
Where your information lives
Microsoft 365 (email and our business records, stored in UK/EU data centres) · Cloudflare (website hosting and analytics) · GoCardless (payments, FCA-regulated). These are our data processors; we don't sell or share your information with anyone else, full stop.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that go nowhere: up to 12 months, then deleted. Client records: for the length of our work together plus what UK tax law requires (6 years for financial records). Outreach records: until you opt out or the information goes stale, whichever is sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to any processing — including outreach, which we'll stop immediately. Email hello@mooseworks.uk; we'll respond within a month, usually much faster. If you're unhappy with how we've handled something, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk — though we'd appreciate the chance to fix it first.
One more thing
If we build and look after yourwebsite, we act as a processor for the personal data your site or email handles — that's covered in your agreement with us, not this page. This page is about mooseworks.uk itself.
